Omer Farooq Khan is PBC’s Chief Executive Officer.
He has been serving at the CEO position since 2006. His leadership for PBC has been instrumental by inculcating a culture of ethics, customer centric approach and adaptability. Over the years, PBC has steered towards a path of growth under his leadership by adding new products to its portfolio, focusing on quality customer service and utilizing technological advancements in the arena of manufacturing and information to keep pace with the ever changing market trends.

In addition to PBC, Omer had been the Managing Director for two sugar processing companies since 2006. Investment in the sugar processing companies was part of the vertical integration strategy. Under his leadership, sugar units experienced accelerated growth.

Omer’s understanding of the importance of data driven decisions and passion for technology and system integration compelled him to implement SAP ERP at PBC in 2007, in his early years as the CEO. He served as the Project Director. The SAP implementation project did not only help him get a complete understanding of the company processes but also led him to assess the ability of the team and the flexibility to adapt to new environments. This served as the foundation stone to select a strong team which will take PBC to new heights during the next decade.
 
Over the years, PBC enhanced its products range by introducing Aquafina, Sting, Slice and Tropicana. Understanding the need to provide clean drinking water to households in Faisalabad and adjacent territories, he set up Aquafina 19L plant in 2008.

In 2013, Omer initiated the presell and secondary sales’ tracking project to track the performance of outlets. In the PepsiCo Pakistan system, presell had not been widely accepted and adopted. Hence, this initiative proved to be a game changer in the PepsiCo system and was a paradigm shift in the way the beverage distribution was managed, leading to higher SKU availability and portfolio play. This gelled in with the key element of his vision of having a customer centric approach.

PBC has achieved numerous accolades during Omer’s leadership. He received the PepsiCo Business Turn Around Award in 2011, Global Bottler of the Year Finalist in 2013, Member of PepsiCo’s Chairman’s Club for Highest Share and Highest Share Gain in 2014, Asia Pacific Region Quality Award in 2015 and PepsiCo’s Chairman’s Ring of Honor in 2017.

In addition, Omer serves as a member of Board of Governors, National Management Foundation, the sponsoring body of the Lahore University of Management and Science, with other prominent names from Pakistan’s business fraternity. He is also a member of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries and the Young President Organization (YPO).

Omer is a fitness enthusiast, an avid reader and keeps himself abreast with the new technological advancements.
